I have looked long and hard at the standard pipe on my sportmaxx and I've read all the threads about the baffle wots in there but i can't find it can someone please explain in great detail how to do this and post some pics maybe, and will i benefit from takin it out

thanx:lick: :lick: :lick:

You can't take that pipe apart like a CVEC, so without cutting the pipe up I don't think you can take the baffling out.

What you can do is drill out your stinger with a 1/4 inch drill bit, but be carefull not to go all the way through, just about 3/4 the way.

Seriously, the best thing to do is just get another pipe. I personally reccomend the Sirio pipe they make for their .18 engine, or the THS pipe.

If its the stock pipe, just unscrew the one end, it will split in half. Take that plastic melted piece out from in the pipe.

Done.

Chris, does the SportMaxx not use the new funky shaped pipe (looks like a golf club)? If so, it won't split like the old stock pipes we had on our Ts.

The new pipes that came with the 2.5's don't split, just the old ones that came with the pro .15 do.

Yeah, when I got the Sirio engine I found that out. I tried drilling the stinger out like Sirio suggested, but I still wasn't totally pleased so I started messing around with it some more trying to pry it apart at the seams. After a little bit I got tired of it and hacked it in half with a dremmel and a cut off wheel :hammer: . I kinda had to get a new pipe after that.
