Bad Handling

Hey for some reason my tmaxx is turning is very touchy. Like when i go up the road and turn it will sometimes flip over. I also notice that it will turn one way when i am not messing with the steering. I need to figure out how to align the steering.

Could it be that i have my shocks to high? And i need to low down the shocks some?

The TMAXX handles like a bath tub on wheels. Period. You can try lowering everything down, stiffen the suspension, and maybe try some offset wheels at some point.. thats about it. As for the alignment it can be multiple things.. tiw rod adjustment, maybe the servo horn is off from true center... bent bulheads of even a bent chassis can cause that. Try narrowing down the problem and get back to us

Don't forget that if it's only a slight turn,you can adjust the trim knob on the radio to straighten it out.

Yeah it is. I am going to mess around with that alittle also tomorrow and let you guys know what happened.

SteelCityNitro nailed it, i slammed mine all the way down (stock shocks) and put 80wt. in my shocks, takes a pretty quick turn to flip it, getting wheels with a bigger offset helps too.

I am thinking about doing that, because i think it would help with the handling.
Now my shocks are all the way up, I am going to put them down for the street and up for off-road

80wt oil will break stock shocks quick if you plan to jump it at all. I like 50wt when it's hot, 40wt when it's cool and 30wt when it's cold. I run my shocks in the 2nd lowest position in the back and the 2nd highest in the front. 1 big spring clip on each of the rear shocks, 2 on each of the front shocks. It's almost impossible to roll it on pavement with the chevron tires, due to lack of traction. I jump my Maxx pretty hard, and it handles it fine with this setup.
