okay i bought my truck a few backs n iv had to replace the sper gear 2 times already... is this normal.. also at a stand still my truck will roll foward alil.. like a car will at idel.. is this normal.. any ideas.. i have a biger sper gear to put on but i dont want to wast my time if it will just strip out.. thanks

If the clutch bearings are smooth and tight, then you need to set your mesh right. As tight as you can get it, while still being able to spin the gears smoothly. You only want the smallest amount of play possible. A few slightly tight spots are common. Sounds like your idle is set a hair too high if the truck creeps forward when your off of the throttle.

what do u mean by mesh.. sry have been out fo the hobbie for a few years

oh okay thanks... yeah they are tight.. when i just looked at it i noticed the motor was lose.. i checked the mont. n thats what it was.. ill have to pick up some locktite.. are the mettel sper gears any good.. i saw them on a site.. and what teath do u rec. for bashing... thanks

Metal spurs only send shock to the rest of the drivetrain. Usually causing tranny or diff breakage. With a proper mesh and slipper adjustment, plastics spurs last pretty much for as long as you want to use them. Make sure you use blue, removable locktite. These days I gear my rigs lower for more bottom-end and less top end. Bigger spur and/or smaller clutch bell.

well i took the motor off the rig n i notcied that the bell was pulled away from the motor. it all come apart.. the ball berings look to be busted and the clutch shoe looks busted.. i have a motor off my jato that is a 2.5 are the clutch parst the same

Sure are. Give the inside of the bell a light sanding. Clutch shoes too. The two bells may have a different amount of teeth. It should work fine though.

yeah i just lloked at the parts list to show.. not how much power will i lose buy just using the whole motor... any idea

well it already feels like a turd going from a jato to the revo.....lol thanks for the help i guess ill just order all the parts i need
