I ahve an xb8 with o.s. v-spec and i was trying out backflip and i would hold it to the pin up the face of the jump and sometimes it would rotate halfway and stop while othe times it wouldnt rotate fast enogh and it would come down on its nose. my diff oils are 5 5 3 can anybody help to get it to rotate better

Honestly 1/8 th scale are not the best for flipping. The MT's are way better as they have the big tires that have all the centrifugal force from the tires. Whether or not people think so, you need to have really good breaks to help control your rotation. Your XB8 was meant to stay in control on the ground and in the air. Your problem with rotation could be a few things. angle of accent, speed, throttle control and brake control.

Get a MT and try it out.
 
approach the jump at 1/2-2/3 speed. once its off the jump then punch it. rotation is based on accelleration of the tires, if they are already up to full speed when you launch, it wont rotate very well.
 
CorradoPsi is on the right track.

A jump with a decent lip to get the nose up is a good start. Hitting the ramp below max speed is helpful as it allows additional throttle to spin the tires up faster. The acceleration of the tires is not so important as the rotational speed and mass of the tires. This rotational speed and mass, cause a gyroscopic affect on the buggy that pulls the nose up and through the flip.

Heavier tires, more rpms to the tires when airborne, and a decent start from a ramp that points the nose up vice flat...will all get you there.

Realize that not all buggies like to flip. As mentioned some are built with control in mind and the weight distribution is such that it wants to tend to nose down while in the air.

This does not mean back flips are out of the question or impossible...just means you need to take some extra things into consideration (most of which are mentioned above). If you make it happen, try and film it so you can share the vid with the rest of us. :D
