I noticed some people have been talking about using a mod to run the roto start on their picco was on Picco's web site and found this, look easier than doing a mod

Shaft Start Back Plate -- In Stock!!
If you are using the HPI Rotostart to start your Force or Picco 26 then you can use this new backplate for a better OFNA fit. Notice the lower insertion port for ease of use. #50010
Stay tuned for further developments...

Considering how the one way seems somewhat recessed into the base of the engine block does the reduced amount of bearing in the rotostart housing put more stress on the one way?

I have been wondering the durability of the one way when using the roto start on the 26. I would like to purchase one but don't know if it is really worth it since the one way bearing for the 26 is like $26.00. I would like to hear from someone with real world experience on this backplate and roto start combo before I purchase.

ha.... I've used roto starts on all my engine... all you need is the Savage version rotostart and a 1/10th scale car wheel hex and you are set... like how it is always posted.... you can only break your one-way if your engine is flooded... meaning you still don't know how to start your engine properly... plus the internal one-way is a bit stronger compared to the external ones..

the rotostart that OFNA offers I've used on my buggy and Super RS4 26 project I made...

Will NOT WORK on the Savage cause it will be on a bad angle and the shaft won't reach coming from the rear and through the shock towers..
