back plate broken!

RC Driving Style
has anyone else had this problem with the back plate breaking a corner off for no aparent reason. I also heard that there might be a recall on them or somthing let me know what you guys have heard

update I just got off the phone with HPI and they said they would replace the part at no cost. not bad.
 
Mine did that, the bottom left corner broke off half the screwhole. I noticed it was cracked at one point in time, then if finally just broke off so there were only two screws holding the rotostart.
 
Glad to hear you actually talked to someone at HPI....I wonder how long it took...while YOU paid for the call....my Savage 25 RTR came with a defective transmitter......I have called HPI 6 times and,after listening to ..."..average wait time is 10-15 minutes...leave message and we will call you...".....I have left a message every time and they havnt called me back.....my LHS can't even get a responce from them!!!!...I have already replaced the TX and RX with a 75MHz system but still want what I paid for.......whats your secret?....thanks...:>)...RCR
 
all I did was used the link on this site to HPI home page and my call went straight through. I did not even wait one minute. never on hold. what time of day did you try to call. I called at 11 30 am. hope that helps.
