Hey guys,

Now that Associated has come out with the successor to the B4 does anyone know whether or not a B55 is in the works? I am in the market for a 4wd 1/10 scale buggy and didn't want to buy the B44.2 if the B55 is in the works... I would rather wait. Thanks

Tom

It'll probably be called the B54, since I don't think they're planning on adding a 5th wheel ;)

But no, I haven't heard any chatter on that one yet. I'm sure the T5 will emerge within 18 months, but the B44 was the first 4WD, so we don't really have a pattern for 4WD buggies following updates on the 2WD. Your guess is as good as mine.

Having said that................

As we all know, I'm a big time AE guy. Nonetheless, if I were buying a 4WD buggy today, the Kyosho Laser ZX5 would be my first choice, followed by the Durango DEX410. Main reason? I don't want plastic ring & pinion gears in a 1/10 off road buggy.

I'm a huge AE guy myself and am real excited about the B5M mid motor buggy. I figured I would ask as I know the B44.2 has been out a couple of years now and would rather bide my time just to make sure AE doesn't have a new 4wd in the works. My luck is usually that I buy a rig and run it for a month.. then the new version is released.

Why the B55 and not the B44.3 like they did with the TC-6 series. I, too, am a fan of Associated.

I just pulled the B55 part out of the air since the new buggy is the B5.... it may be the B44.3. I have heard some rumors floating around the net about a new 10th scale 4x4 buggy... but they are unsupported for now. I love how RC companies guard the new rigs like national security! LOL
