The Axial BFG KM3's 2.9" Mud Terrain tires came in with a final score of 91/100 for their evaluation. This places them third in our current 2.9" tire rankings, just one point behind the Pro-Line Racing Hyrax.

Current Rankings:

1. JConcepts Landmines: 96/100
2. Pro-Line Racing Hyrax: 92/100
3. Axial BFG KM3: 91/100

Overall, I was pleased with their performance and I believe that they make a great baseline tire to compare other tires against. Up next for testing are the Pro-Line Racing Swampers. We will also be moving to a standard 2.9" testing aluminum beadlock wheel from Treal RC. I wanted a high-quality and affordable aluminum beadlock wheel for testing the remaining 2.9" tires, and I'm quite pleased with this product. We will be adding a new section on the website taking a closer look at these wheels and why we selected them, as well as showing you how to properly set up foams for the SCX-6 with a step by step guide for making your own tuning discs.

If you have any questions, lemme know and I will do my best to answer. Finally, we are almost done prototyping a new lay-down front servo mount which ties into the Treal RC aluminum front bumper mount. Hopefully we can print the final version on our liquid 3D printer for testing next week. If it passes our testing, I will get a build showcase posted to share the mount details.

(Assuming these tires are soft and flex for crawling) Are there tires like that would work well at higher RPM's? Like a rally/monster bug or truck was what I was thinking. 1/10 scale.
Hopefully something that won't be bald after 45 mins on hard surface.
The treads are awesome, they look real/scale. I'd like to try them but I don't own a crawler. If they don't work, I'm out $$$!
Any thoughts on (mis)using these or similar for this application?

I'm not sure - I've never tried it.

Stiffer foams?

Maybe stifer foams would work.
Are these tire's compounds super soft or are they availible in multi?
I just keep looking at the picture of these tires with those beadlocks... they BELONG on my rigs!!! SO COOL LOOKING!!!
