uhhhh. i think you answered your own question. the idle screw is adjustable for a reason ;)

loosen that baby up, and get the engine roaring!!
 
Actually it was the linkage, lengthened it about a cm and the idle dropped down to where it was suppose to be. Didn't have to touch the idle screw. I should have known this since I put a new Axial .28 into the savage and it is quite bigger than the .25 that came with it. Thanks for your help tho........
 
that would make sense... considering you mentioned that you could push the throttle closed...

Thanks Mallanaga, ran thru 2 tanks for some burn in time last night. That Axial .28 is a damn brute. Can't wait till I finish breaking it in, but I am definately taking time to do it right.
