Getting ready to install some brass diff covers for some weight down low. Is there fluid in these diffs? If so what would be good weight to have on hand to top them up or would grease (red or ceramic) be appropriate. Thanks, never had them open so far and wanted to be sure I had what I needed so I can finish the upgrade.

A little grease is all you need. :thumbs-up: Red is what I use.

They don't have a diff. Just a worm gear and a ring gear in them. As Doom said, Mobil1 synthetic red grease is what I use on my gears as well.

Thanks guys, thought that was the case given their size. Red grease it is.

i had a ton of problems with my ax 24. out the box 2 nuts were missing for trans plate. axial wasn't very helpful i bought the hardware kit but no nuts in the kit fit. i blew both steering servos with in about a hour. just collects dust now its a shame i had high hopes

All RTR RC's come with cheap servos, and if the endpoints are not set correctly on the servos, they'll burn up quick. That's one of the first upgrades the 24th scale trucks need, especially Axial trucks. But Horizon should have replaced those servos. They actually have a warranty, and Horizon is pretty quick to replace stuff. Axial is Horixon by the way, so I would contact them for replacement parts.

just wasn't impressed with the ax24

Sorry to hear of your experience with the ax24. Was one of my first rigs and has run well for me, has it’s scuffs at this point. I did add some weight down low and upgraded the shock to eliminate the bounce and floppy body lean that led to many rolls. I have been thinking of building a custom based on the ax24, have the angry bird frame rails and picking up bits a pieces when I can. Good luck on your other rigs my friend…have some fun.

Same, both of my AX24's had no problems other than changing shocks, and adding a bit of weight.
