Anybody watch the World Series of Poker...Texas Hold-Em No LImit Main Event?????

I've been afraid to post until now...The tournament ended a couple months ago...and I've been doing my best to not find out who won....unbeleivably...I made it!!!

I watch virtually no TV...But for the last 6 weeks...My family knew that Tuesday nights were Poker Night on ESPN!!! Dad owns the big TV for a couple hours....stay outta the basement.

I grew up playing garage poker...I got turned onto no limit hold-em about a year ago....Whole Different Animal!!!!!! I tried playing traditional garage poker a few months ago and hated it.

Anyway anybody else watch?

I didn't see it but one of the guys I work with son has been in the big dance the last couple years. He was in Vegas for 12 days this year playing, we stopped in one night when he was playing when we were out there for work. He didn't do as good this year.

I watched it and thought it was great. I'm only 18 but notice that a very large amount of people around me, including myself, play alot of poker. Its addicting.

I haven't watched much this year. I really don't know why. I've been playing off and on for a couple years and usually watch it intently. I'm down for the reruns because they'll be on forever. I did see the first day rounds but didn't see what happened after. Love the game. Just don't really have anyone closeby to play with. And don't have the bankroll to run up to the casino.

I used to watch it when I had premium cable. WSOP and WPT on the travel channel were my favorite 2 shows. Poker stars is also good but the commentary is boring. I play a house game (follow the queen, low in the barrell, all the wierd games with wild cards) once a month with my shooting club, and lately there has been at least one no limit texas hold em tournament every month. Buy ins are low, about the cost of a couple gallons of fuel. I go just for the poop talking.

I've been watching it on and off. It has been hard to catch the new episodes. It seems like ESPN has been moving it around.

Jat mach: What's the kids name?

Candyman: Hope I didn't ruin it for you. Anytime I heard anybody discussing the tournament...The first thing I said was..."Don't tell me anything about who is left and who is out!!!!"

MC: Tuesday night is poker night on ESPN...at least for the new episodes...which are now over...they play the repeats at various hours.

No hold-em poker ROCKS!!!! For anybody that plays garage poker...this is whole different animal...you run out of chips, You're DONE!!..no more reaching into the wallet for more cash. Good thing is it eliminates an age old rule of garage poker..."He with the most money wins"...I like it that way.
