my revo arrived just a little while ago and needless to say I'm hyped. anyways, something i found that could cause many headaches if left alone was inside my fuel lines i found alot of plastic particles, some rather large. needless to say i immdiatly replaced the lines with some GS ones and flushed the fuel tank out with DA. there is a link to some things to check for with a new revo and fuel tank particles was one of them. for me there was no plastic particles in the tank, but in the lines.

in all though I'm very happy my new revo is here, it looks friggin space age imo. first thing i did was yank the engine out and tear it apart to check for machining burrs and crud inside the case and internals, rtv sealed the back plate and carb, removed the lsn and hsn needles to check for burrs and crud. then threw on a pull-starter. ill be back with follow up after i get it broken in and maybe broken...haha.

That is good QA on your part. Things to check for on RTR rides. Please let us know what happens, hopefully nothing but great things!

ok got the revo broken in and ran about a quart of fuel (not including break-in fuel) today. first thing i notice about the revo is it handles very nicely, at least compared to how my stock t-maxx and savage did. this time around the trx 2.5 has been a great little engine, keeping a good tune through-out the day and never going over 240 degrees.

my first ever nitro engine was a trx 2.5 in my t-maxx, and i couldnt keep that thing under 300 degrees no matter what i did. i can say I'm itching for more power, especially torque when i nab the gas, as I'm used to the wasp .26 and xtm 24.7 in my savage and t-maxx. didnt get a chance to make it out to the track, so i can only compliment on how well the revo went in circles out in my front yard and street. in all so far I'm very happy.
