Just got an Associated throttle return spring and well it seems much to short to fit. Has anyone fitted this on a t-maxx??? I have an ols 1 generation maxx with an OS .15 cvx (as you know that's a rotary carb). And i did a carb flip on it to...

attach the return spring from the carb lever to the rear bolt that mounts the engine to the enginemount.

With this config., with the carb flip done, it would hold the carb wide open.

Poor poor kitty

I use the losi spring, it comes with two little eyelets, I put one on the throttle arm and the other on the screw that holds the tranny case together. I also had to remove a few coils to tighten it up slightly, and make sure it pulled the carb shut.

i use this setup on my GT, and forgot about the carb flip. with the carb in the normal position, this idea works great.
