what? i just watched it before i posted it...i just watched it again.

I think it's some kind of Nylon rock formation they used, can't be sure though. As for what it's painted with, no clue.

well i kinda want to set up a simular course in my garage, i just like how smooth but still rugged the upper part is, makes me jelious.

I'm building a course at my track & was thinking of using a stucco based material (concrete) I can spray it on with a hand spray hopper for drywall texture.I will use chicken wire & paper over wood for the base. And it should stand up to the weather better too & much cheaper!

The problem with normal concrete is that it's quite heavy, and that's no good for something that needs to be portable. There is some kind of special low density concrete that could work, but it's quite expensive and prone to cracking. The bed liner is a good idea, but it seems like it would be a really high traction material. I have an extra trailer, and I'm thinking about building a rock course on it and taking it with 5 crawlers to places like the company picnics, family reunions, maybe some birthday parties for family members (who are old enough to handle my crawlers), things like that. I think it would be a great idea to allow people to see RC crawling up close and personal, and a good reason to get one more crawler, since I only have 4 now, and more is always better lol.

Soundsawesome you could take the trailor if its eclosed and take the walls down and make them where you could putt back up. or... if it was open jus build it and pull to where you need to and have at it awesome idea.

wow thats a sick idea charlie, would/will be awsome I'm sure.

I've still got three crawlers left to build after I finish my comp rig that I'm working on now, and then I've got to work on my comp course at home, which is going to be a pretty good sized course for a home course. After that stuff is done I can move on to the other projects.

Nice idea there Charlie, i think it would be a hit for sure. Good ole Charlie, man of a thousand projects.

Yeah that would be a good how to article. I'm curently working on some hot to articles for some other crawler stuff, but I can't release the details just yet.
