my truck comes with a standard 6 c 7.2 v nimh battery whats the next upgrade for battery not going to lipo yet , is it just a step up in voltage or do i have to do something else

What are you looking to get out of it? There are 7 cell nimh batteries.

just wanna know if i can from a 6c 7.2 v 1500mah nimh to something a lil higher voltage like a 14.4 v or something like that to get a lil power out of it

You can go to a 7-cell 8.4v NiMH or to a 2s LiPo (7.4v) if the ESC supports a LiPo low voltage cut off.
