my son is going to the army. he just doesn't lesson to me, when i tell him what he is in for. he will do fine if he keeps his cool, and fallow instructions

There's nothing wrong with him joining up. I still wish I had, and I've been urging my son to after he graduates.

where is he going to basic training at. . .if he goes to ft sill let me know i have some things he is going to want/need to know

I always thought of joining before I met my girlfriend (now my wife) but I am not gunna stay away from family like they do.

Best thing I ever did was join up. Got my ass on the path to making something of myself. The fact that he's still pushing forward with it despite trying to be talked out of it seems to show that he has thought this out and has atleast some dedication to seeing it through. Best of luck to him making something out of himself. He could go on to save lives and make a difference.

thanks guys. thanks REVO, when i find out where he is going, ill post for you. iam sure it is different than when i was in, 1970. his wife will be having a baby while he is basic. all these trouble and my stroke is still keeping from doing things. with the Lords help ill do ok.

i tried to forget every thing i learned in the army. nothing made me happier than when the fighting was over.
