I've decided on getting an MGT and I was just wondering if you guys are happy with yours. Also, what starting gear do you guys reccomend with the stock SE engine? I was thinking O'donnel fuel, but have no clue about glow plugs and such. I read the newbie fact, so I'm ok on most of that stuff. But if I have a couple more questions after purchasing it, I'll ask.

Also, with RPM arms, do you guys think the durability can hang with the savages?

Can MGT's be tuned to compete and win agaist the revos? Thanks a lot. I appreciate any help.

Although I dont have one a friend does and he is starting to hate it as well. It seems every time we go bashing he breaks an engine mount. doesn't matter if it jumps off a curb or 20 feet.. Seems to break just the same. I should note its the stock mount that breaks..

People are you guys landing on your lids? Are you using your lids at all? I have had mine for years and I have NEVER broke mine. Did I mention I have an RC Solutions roll cage on mine too? It doesn't take too much force to break it if it lands on the engine hard enough. I was thinking of upgrading to a Nova mount but with my RCS cage..why? I love it but I am concentrating on one MT and one buggy so it needs to go. IMO the MGT rocks.

Ask me after Sunday, that will probably be the first time I've ever started the MGT since I've had it in the last year - year and a half and I can't wait to get it going!!!!

Hey chief...have you run it at all????

I have 4 1/2 gallons through my MGT and the only things that have broken have been my fault . Still pulling wheelies with the stock motor .

Jumping is really stable and though I dont launch it 10 feet into the air I do beat on it pretty hard and nothing major has broken .

With a little tweaking it can be a really great truck , especially for the price .

It's a great truck with the stock engine in it.You drop in a hotter mill and then you'll start buying parts for it..

Mark, I still have my MGT (first version) for a couple of years now, and have yet to run into a major problem.
I did have to switch to a Robinson racing spur gear, but that was it.
I have my truck fully modified, but that was by choice.
I run a Picco .27, I had a Collari .30, and still not a problem.
Not calling you out, I just wanted to say that I think it's a great truck.
It's the only truck that I never considered selling......yet. ;)

I have owned an MGT for probably 3 yrs now. Bashing is all that I know and it has held up to the punishment really well. I have replaced the front knuckles with aluminium and fixed a couple of CVDs but that is about it. Great truck!

I love my mgt, only thing I've managed to do so far is knock of the rear braces that hold the tyres straight, but thats like a 10second job to but it back on, and i dont think i could live witout a reverse gear now.

and there is some nice upgrades to go with it too

I too have the first generation .21 for over 4 years no problems other than those self induced... Last year I added a RC Solutions roll cage this alone added enough extra weight I also added a P3 .28 wont pull wheelies with the roll cage. Picco's are known to have finiky carbs Ofna didn't hesitate to replace the carb. with the new pro series. I haven't had any time to play since i got the new carb but this thing has some sick top end. Love it!

I see that you have chosen not to get the MGT. Your choice, but I still enjoy min. The only things that I have broken on it as things that I caused, such as hitting a large rock. Oh well. I like how easy it is to start, the speed, handling, and stability when I jump it. It's my only 1/8 scale truck but I do enjoy it. 'v run in excess of three gallons through it and it still runs well

I have the MGT 8 and love every minute of it. Even over my Savages.... YES I SAID IT...
I have replaced the steering servo, (but who hasnt replaced stock steering servos on everything) and the radio gear.....
