I would venture to say that a high would be increased durability. But, a definite low would be gettint them to stay glued to the aluminum. Rubber + Aluminum + Glue does not work well. My friend wound up having to use a rubber style glue to get his to work. Kind of like the glue you would use if your shoe was coming apart. My personal choice is maximizer beadlocks, no glueing ever, and you can change tires as often as you would like. Not to mention, they do have a aluminum set. Good luck!
This is simple......alluminum is for looks. Do you c top Team reacers in nitro and electric racing with alluminum?? No as it adds rotational mass as it's heavier, that can decrease acceleration. It's expensive and CAN bend and especially with hard bashing. Most compaines wont warranty them either. I love my lightweight RPM plastic and Pro-line plastic wheels.
THe only plus I can think of with ALluminum are running beadlocks as mentioned above and the looks.
