Personally, I'd do what I did and pick up a new Traxxas LINK setup off ebay for roughly the same price. I just don't trust off brand radio gear to control my expensive toys.

Yeah, but who makes the Traxxas radio? LOL

I have two Traxxas cars on one of their LINK systems and it works fine, but mashing all the buttons to go through the menus is a pain.

I've been wanting to move all my RTRs off of AM to a decent radio, but the receiver prices are what kill me. $50 a car or so? Yikes!

The Flysky stuff, while not a known brand, seems to be gaining in popularity. There's a HUGE thread on the R/C Tech forum about modding the GT3B with custom profiles, etc.

They also have another one that's a few bucks more and doesn't have the big screen on top, but a smaller LCD screen on the face. Either one would be a lot easier to adjust ABS, EPA, etc. than the Traxxas.

Just my two cents from someone who doesn't own one! :p

I got each of my sons a GT3B for their cars and they seem to work well. Easy programming and cheap, but they aren't driving 60 mph race buggies and SC trucks just yet. I'll stick with my 4PKS, personally, even with each receiver costing as much as 3 GT3Bs. The Traxxas radios work well enough, but programming them is a nightmare. It was worth the $35 to make it easier to turn down the dual rate on the 7 year old's throttle to a speed he can handle without killing me, the cat, and the mailbox.

I'm running some fast stuff that is fast. I don't have any glitching issues or anything like that.. I had 2 of the radios in question but gave one to a friend. I did have to take one apart and unplug the throttle control and plug it back in, its worked fine since then. I've also cut the wires and i'm running a 8 cell ni-cd in mine. Great radio for the price if you ask me, that's what i'm pretty much running on everything.

I like the people who spend 50+ bucks on the traxxas/etc. 2.4ghz stuff though. they keep cash in my pocket. I'm about to put a traxxas 2.4ghz setup for sale on ebay and put a 5 dollar flysky receiver in the e-maxx i'm running.

I think I'm going to just buy one. If it don't work I will just use it for target practice. I'm just trying to find a 3s lipo for my mini revo on hobbypartz.com then I will order one.
