I was looking at the 2 speed kits for the older RS4 cars (rtr, 2, and racer kits) and I was wondering if anyone ran them?

If you have, any feedback, or information on them would be greatly appreciated.

I was doing a little math, and with my setup, I should get a higher top speed with the Ofna 2 speed kit, but I can always change out the gears in the HPI kits.

Can anyone shine a little light on the subject?

The spurs can always be changed to suit. Sorry but I don't know what spur gears Ofna is offering and the clutchbell. 13/20 clutchbell and 44/37 is the lowest ratio you can run on stock HPI parts. If you wanted more choices you can use the two speed and pick up a SS clutchbell and go lower. Good luck.

Thanks for the help.

The ofna kit is 15/43 first gear, and 19/39 second.

The stock HPI kit is 21/83 first, and 26/78 second.

The HPI heavy duty kit is 13/41 first, and 16/44 second.

After messing around with the calculator, I found the best results with the ofna kit, but I wonder if I'll be buzzing the HPI .12r sc too much?

Any additonal help/insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I had a origanal RS4 belt drive and instaled the heavyduty HPI 2 speed I had to change spurs and the clutcbell for the desired ratio?!
