I'm lookin at the fusion .21 i was wonderin if they were good cars or not....i had a nitro 4tec and that thing was a pos....and heavy as hell....

I had one for a short period of time. It's an "ok car" for the track if it's allowed to be raced. There's not enough parts readily available. The suspension does not have enough "adjustability" but can be dealt with. The 3 speed can not be adjusted fully. Only first and second can be done. Third is done with a choice of 2 springs. The larger engine gives a lot more body lean/roll since it's a higher CG. It's adequate for racing but it gave me a lot of fun when I was messong around with it when screwing around with friends.

I had mine for a total of 1 season. I sold it once I started racing heavily and had very limited track oportunities to race it. IF you're just messing around, it's a good car.

I have been racing the 710 for over 2 years. Great car, wonderful platform just be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time getting the suspension dialled in. It's not a car that should be just "bashed" around. To really see where it will shine and perform, it's a car that was designed for the track.

What do you plan to do with your onroad? This way you can be steered in a better direction.

Yo, I'm selling a perfect condition NTC3 with RB X12 and 2 JR 590M servos for $325. Let me know if your interested and i will give you the list of everything it comes with. AWESOME car.

there is a track not far from my place so i plannin on runnin it there.....and ther is also a huge asfault parking lot accross the road from me also...but i wasn't plannin on racing at all....but if the serpent is made for the track then i guess ill be goin to the track to run it.....and if and when i buy another onroad i plan on buyin it new.....also with the aerpent whats the biggest motor that will fit....i looked all over their web site but it didnt say anything.....I'm also lookin at possibly a mugen or xray....any thoughts on those??????also i dont wanna have to run a lola body either i want to be able to use a touring car body.....

The largest that will fit in the serpent is a small block. An OS 18 is still considered a small block but will disrupt the cg and design of the 710. If you plan to race 1/10 touring, plan on having some restrictions on the car unless you run it in the open/outlaw class. Meaning, 3 port .12 engine (ROAR/EFRA Legal).

I also run a Mugen MTX-4 and an Xray T2. The T2 is electric and the same engine constraints/size apply to the Mugen.

With these cars, and if you do plan to race them, you will need a few basic setup tools to get them performing correctly. ie.: setup station and tweak station. You can run the foams on them at full size or true them down to what you will best perform with via a tire truer.

If you just want the best of both worlds and be able to mess around and race when you want, the Nitro TC3 is your best bet. This car allows bashing and/or racing. Best bang for the buck since with any of the three cars mentioned above will cost anywhere from $350 (serpent 710) to $425 (Mugen MTX-4). And that's just the kit. Extra cost will be determined by engine, pipe, electronics and other odds and ends.

BTW, Lola bodies are only allowed in outlaw class. Everything else will require you to use a 4door touring car body.
