Ha anyone ever tried jumping an onroad of some kind?? It can probably be done but u'd mess up ur chassis and probably break something. So has anyone ever done it??

Frank

I do it every once in a while. Its not really a high jump. I probably get about a foot of air at the most. If I land on rubber, nothing breaks. Just a few sparks. But when I dont land, and it tumbles, thats when things start breaking.

on roads are meant to stay on the ground it would be too risky because its too low but its a good excuse if you want to replace wiht some hopups.

Yea i know. But you know there are some crazy people that have jumped them. I would do it if i had a job just to be crazy:marshall:

I've been more daring and running mine off curbs lately, HA. Because the suspension bottoms out so easily, the chassis really takes the hit. I'll run it up to 30 mph and fly off the curb. It lands flat, just sparks a lot. Last time I went out, my friend put his car against the curb and I jumped it, but it caught something and cartwheeled a dozen times, but nothing broke.

Even before I started beating on it, I noticed hard hits will start to slightly bend the front of the chassis up... like kick up on a stadium truck.

Everytime I go out now, I either have to take my dremel and notch new slits in my engine mount screws or replace them because they get ground off.

i remember the time i hit a pebble with my car and it did about 4 cartwheels and landed but thankfully the right way. to the day i still have my car as low as possible and it still runs. i still have big chunks of my bumper missing .

i was burrning out in a very shallow tiny gravel spot in the street, and all of a sudden my car locked up, upon further looking a pebble smaller then a BB was lodged between the spur gear and my chasis. Once i hit a rock about the size of a dice and flipped my car (didnt have my body on) and it slid on the engine for about 10 feet before stopping, nice sparks i might add though :)

I hit a small bump in the road doing 54mph (according to VSM) and it cartwheeled for a good 50 feet easy. I broke like two things.

A guy at my r/c club ramped his R40 by accident. Ramps were too close to the track I guess. All he did was bend a shock tower. It was said that when they asked him why he did it he answered with "what ramps?" He didn't see em till it was too late.

i jump my rs4 3 when I'm over my uncles house while they play with there savages

go 50mph then hit jump then fly 20 ft then land then go to lhs

jumping if fun

although breaking parts aint I've broken shocks, shock towers, rims, engine heads, bumpers, and one engine.

nitro13,

no more ramping with my GX1 the back shocks connect to the differential housing, and i broke the part they connect too clean off, so no more jumps :)
