I just finished (I think) installing the forward only kit in my 3.3. I kind of got confused because the instructions are for a 2.5 tranny i think. I didn't just screw up and install the wrong part in my tranny did I? Hope not, I doubt I could get it back together.

I've also noticed that without the drive shafts on the forward only gear shaft will actually slide back and forth. Is this normal. I'm wondering how the bearing it rides in on the brake side stays in there....any insight is appreciated..

Ok, there has to be two different FOCs....The shaft of the forward only gear is to long on the brake side, and causes my brake disc to slip off of the blue hex collar. I've tried everything i can think of. Anybody ran into this?

if it came in the fancy packaging(in the foam), its for the 2.5 and wont work in the 3.3

Yep you guys are right. It goes much more smoothly when you have the right part number. Well at least i can attest that a tmaxx will run and drive with the wrong FOC installed in the transmission, it just won't brake and the tranny will come apart. :D
