this is my first t-maxx but second nitro i have a traxxas nitro sport
is there any advice that one can get other then really concentrate on the break in proceedure

go slow and follow the instructions. Mine is just starting to get stronger. I have 3/4 of a gallon through it. Still pulls wheelies on command. Try tuning with temperature and amount of smoke coming out of your exhaust. Always let your engine cool down with the piston at Bottom Dead Center (BDC) not Top Dead Center(TDC). use ARO after each run. Above all .. Have patience!

your stock 2.5 will pull wheelies? Mine never did. It will now with the Hyper 8 port though :devious:

yeah! I have tuned three of them and all three do them on stock wheels and tires!.

like enough to need wheelie bars or just lift them up a little. Bone stock out of the box??

Put it to you this way I have added a 1lb Rc Raven cage and it still puts it on its lid! Gotta have respect for the 2.5!

Thats the 1st I heard of that. You must have goten a couple good ones. I've only heard how hard they were to tune and keep tuned.

Oh don't get me wrong. I have had my problems but I have a lot of patiance and many hours spent figuring things out!

I have two buddy's with 2.5 T-Maxxes and they are wheelie machines too. The 2.5 ripps when its tuned right.

Hopefully somebody looks at this...I didn't want to make a new post. I let my truck cool at (not BDC) so I guess TDC because it was tight. I remembered 7 hours after I was done. Now I'm worried. This is the first time I did it but the truck only has a few tanks through it. Any thoughts?

I guess you'll just see if the performance has been affected yhe next time you run it. Let us know if there is an overall performance change. we always read about how important it is to cool at BDC but I've never heard directly from a user what happens to the engine after cooling at the top 1 time. Let us know.

my 2.5r revo pulls wheelies like no tommorrow those like engines pull hard when tuned right
