Hey guys, well I have 2 firebird XL's that dont fly to well. Everything electronically on them works, It may be me as a flyer, but i can't keep them in the air that long.

Anyway, I have lots of spare parts/electronics lying around, like a 20T motor, msc, some batt packs, lots of TT-01 parts, and all the firebird stuff.

Dont know what I want to make, but i figured it would be fun to custom do something, whether its land, air, or sea.

Let me know of any ideas.

heres something i did that worked great, looked good too........i took one of them large styrofoam jet planes thats about 8$ at a toy store..........its all solid & you just put the wings on & toss it in the air........anyhow i hollowed out a place in the hull for some micro radio gear i had lying around after gluing the wings & tail on...........i cut the wings to where it would have elevator, ailerons & rudder controls, painted it then made some decals........the nose i cut off a little to glue a square of plywood to hold a engine mount.......i used a OS15 nitro engine.........that cheap plane flew excellently well & ended up selling it later on........i had about 35-40 flights on it..........didnt put wheels on it but when i wanted to fly it i started the engine, tossed it to the wind and airborne she went.........landing it i just killed the engine or ran it till it was empty & glided it in on its belly.......the whole thing weighted about 2lbs fuled but it would probly fly with an electric motor maybe 400-500 size (maybe even smaller).........dont know a whole lot on electric.........the areobaics was fair.........done rolls, dives, loops inverted flight & knife edges........only thing about the areobatics is they was slow because of the 15 size engine........needed a 25 to be fast but they all liked it at the flying field.........matter-a-fact the club is what bought it from me to use as a stunt trainer & still has it..........thats been about 4 years ago.........

WOW, i thought of that exact same idea a few days ago, using the electric motor. But i would need to reverse my motor (because the prop blows backward) so i decided not to do it.

no ya dont.......you can get a reverse prop for bout 3-5$.........git one & try that plane..........youll like it.......
