Any good hobbyshops in the Seattle area?

I'll be spending some weeks with friends in the Seattle area in March. Since I live in Norway where the RC cars are pretty pricy I just bought a Savage 25 with the most needed parts for upgrading online. It will hopefully wait for me in Seattle, but I have a feeling I will need some spareparts and MORE hop-ups after I a very short while :-)
Is there anybody out there know of a hobbyshop with a good inventory for HPI and MT?
I will stay in the Lake City area, but I'm quit flexible about driving around (hey, I'm on vacation :-)
I visited Galaxy Hobby up in Lynnwood last year, but then I was just searching for Die Cast models. I don't remeber seeing much MT there.

Will stay some days down in Puyallup also, so any good shops along the route would be OK.

Thanks!

I can tell you that the hobbytown in Redmond is actually pretty good. The hobbytown at southcenter sucks balls. Don't go there. Ever. There is atomic hobby in issaquah, (they used to be redmond hobbies) they are expensive and not a very good selection. There is Fantasy world in Tacoma, but I have never been there. kwong or wdavidhicks might be able to chime in here, they both live further south than I do, and may frequent some of those shops more than I do. I forgot about ulitmate hobbies in Auburn, but they are overpriced with a crappy selection.

Our Hobby Town USA sucks here. Don't bother, they're all about the money. The best place is Fantasy World Toy and Hobby in Tacoma. They're good people.

I will definately agree that the HobbyTown in Southcenter SUCKS. And I will also agree that the Fantasy World in Tacoma is an awesome place. The advice they give is not BS (like the SC Hobbytown).

Also, there is an indoor off-road RC track at TRCR in Tacoma:
Tacoma RC Raceway
4802 S Adams Street
Tacoma, WA 98409
(253) 565-1935

It is a small track, but it looks like fun (never raced there).

I have been there, it is fun, especially if you run ST's. The shop there is a little expensive, but the staff is really helpful, and that goes a long way.

Echo Kwong on Fantasy World. 7901 S Hosmer in Tacoma. Just east of I-5 off the 56th St exit.

Oh yeah, I forgot the mention ultimate hobbies in Auburn. They also suck. They never keep anything in stock, and all the kids that work there are dumb.

it's a good thing I mentioned it in my post then.

Thanks for the info guys! The shop in Redmond I forgot. It's in the city center right? I passed by it last year. Anybody been to the Hobbytown @ Alderwood Mall? I will drop by the Fantasyworld for sure. I'm ptinting the map as I write this :-)

The hobbytown in Redmond, which is a good shop is right in the city center. You might be thinking about Redmond Hobbies, which has moved and changed names to Atomic Hobbies, it is in Issaquah, but I personally don't like the shop, not much in stock and expensive

I live in port orchard and I have been wanting to check out fantasy world . After hearing what you guys have been saying I think I just might do that.:moped:
