So I recently told you guys how I went through 2 broken gas tanks this month. I took a look at both tanks and the hole is the exact same on both tanks. The only explanation is the screw that holds my shock into the shock tower is punching a hole in the tank. But the thing is why? Is the shock tower flexing that much that it would cause the screw to go into the gas tank? I have the big bores so there's only 2 shocks on the rear of my truck so I'm wondering what to do? Sorry to make it so long

are the big bores mounted on the outside 4 corners or inside 4 corners? mine are mounted on the outside 4 corners. also you may try turning the screw so the hexhead is on the inside of the tower facing out rather than have excess screw hanging in towards the center of the truck. i dunno...i have never destroyed a tank yet

There all on the outside I did switch the way that the screw to hold the shocks to the shock tower though and I haven't had a problem yet also went to my lhs today and got a new tower and replaced it all is good now I think haha

And that's the fix. The Flux has the same problem with punching holes through wires, but I moved my ESC down, so not really a problem for me.
