Ok, so I keep ripping the crap out of my antenna tubes and ultimately through the wire. Basically, mid-throttle wheelies are responsible. A wheelie bar is in the works, but I'd also like to upgrade the tube as well. Does anyone have any suggestions on a tougher or different type of tube?

Split the little nub that the antenna squeezes into with a razor and then crank down a nut on top of it. It'll hold the tube in securely.

Well, the issue is more that when it flips on it's lid, which with the new mill is more aften than not, it folds under the body and rubs through right at the point where it comes through the body.

Not much you can do to prevent that :) You might try splitting it an inch above where it comes out of the radio box and joining the ends with fuel tubing, and then folding the entire tube under the body.

As stated in another post, Get a spektrum or another 2.4 ghz radio, and the entire antenae fits under the body.

There's a cheap fix! J/K! Maybe sometime. I think I'm gonna try the fuel tubing trick and see how that goes. The addition of the wheelie bar should prevent it from happening as well.

Thanks for the tips!

Try the Imex antenna tubes... talk about flexable tubes!!! You can just about tie it in a knot before it starts to think about breaking!!!

not that I have antenna problems (thanks to the DX3S lol) but my son's truck along with my father's truck still run FM radios... and thats what I use for them..
