Ok. So I lost the pins that hold the nut(wheels goes on?) onto the axle. I'm looking around for an exact fit with no luck so I decided to just make one. I found some old drill bits we dont use since we bought our new set. I cut it off with a dremel and used a belt sander to grind it down to the exact specs for my buggy.

1.Just take a drill bit.

2.Cut off the round part, not the part that is designed to actually drill.

3.Sand and cut as needed to make it fit.

Thanx for reading, hope it helps someone out there.

That is a good solution WL. Drill bit material is great for pins and stuff. I buy it blank, which is called drill rod. For metric, 2.5 mm is a #40 drill, 3mm is a #32.

hey man,

Looks like you tore your whole buggy down! re oil and clean that thing dude. good tip to. thanks, later man

Yup, tore it all the way down and threw it in the dishwasher. Reoiled all the bearings, loctited everythign together with red, cleaned all accesoires. Did some soldering and un ghettoafided my electronics(I did it for a quick fix) and put t back the right way, attached my new fail safe and other little thing. I really wanna try new diff oils now.

Music or piano wire will also work, or my favorite, diked off bolts. Believe it or not, This same problem happened to me at the track. Took a 3mm long bolt and diked off the head and cut it to length and ta da, fixed.

Nope but I have many paper clip suggestions

1) Electricity Conductor....
2) fake body clips
3) Hold exhaust to header

may i ask what engine you have on ur rs4 it looks like a big block.. is it?

Watch more movies. I'd start with Star Wars Episode 1.

Good tip.

I was always breaking/losing these on my 1:10 car. I too used 2mm drill bits in an emergency.

Eventually I found some 10mm x 2mm roll pins. These were a tad long so I ground them down to length with a grinding wheel in the dremel.

They are an expanding/interference fit so they do not come out of the axle easily and being spring steel and they flex slightly insteading of snapping.

Ummm and may I ask where you got the exact specs for the pin on an axle nut on a buggy?? I need the exact specs mind you.

Maybe I went too far to say exact but i just kept putting the pin in and out of the axle to see if it was too big or too long and made adjustments untill it fit perfect like the real pins.

This is my "quick hit" of RCNT for today. I get up everyday an hour early to browse RCNT so I'll have somethign to think about in school other than 6/6 x the 38th paralell + contrifical force x .463 or something.

Anyway its a message board its made to be posted upon. I know ur jerking my chain.
