So I installed the center diff, rear brake, new wing mount, old wing, 35T spur gear, 17T CB, took the diffs out, cleaned them, and put in new diff fluid. There is 500K in the front and 300K and 100K in the center. This thing is running like crap. It vitrually has NO get up and go. SLow and barely getting into 2nd gear. Is it possible I put too much diff fluid in the diffs? What would make this thing run so crappy? It was running like a beast previous to the new additions.

Did you take the time to shim the diffs correctly? Shimming is the key to a perfect mesh under load/braking...Also check your brake rod assembly ;-you may of put it back in a little differently so it may be applying the brakes again at WOT.The best way to check is to turn on the radio plus the receiver without the truck running , pull the trigger fully and try to roll the truck to see if it rolls smoothly. If all is good Id change the spurgear or the cb back to stock atleast.I went smaller on my Revo and the performance got worse too..I had a 15/38 in there, went to 16/35 and hated it.Went to a 40 spur with a 16 clutchbell and it worked alot better....Good luck

if i read it right...your way to thick in the diffs. the platinum revo comes with 50k in the front 500k in the center and 30k in the rear. i recently changed my rear diff to 20k to fit my harder driving style. but like i said unless i read your post wrong....your diffs are way to thick. and installing the rear brakes it is a pain to install the linkage and get it to work right. if you need some help on getting it to work correctly i can pm or e-mail you a pic of a mod i did with advice from steve "slaydaddy" slayden.

I found out what it was. The throttle linkage was messed up and it wasn't allowing the carb to open up all the way. Runs fine now. It actually wants to pull the front left wheel off the ground as its running now. So I dont think that the diff fluid is too thick. I posted the diff numbers wrong. I'm using Mugen diff fluid and its 5K in the rear and 3K in the front. Sorrry bout that. BTW dont use a 17T CB. Too tall a gearing. With a 15T CB and a 36T spur gear mine flies
