Revo 3.3 or Savage X?

The extra hundred dollars isnt shying me away. The fact that i have worked with hpi makes me want the savage. The power of the 3.3 makes me want the Revo. I know Revo is race built and Savage is more bash tuned. I dont mind either or. Please help me decide.

What are the major pros and cons of each?
Is there a big difference in durability?
Is the starters on each a big problem (roto & easy),which is more reliable?
I already have a futaba 3pm for my on road, is either of the stock controls good enough or should i just change over to the futaba?
Most importantly which is the easiest to get replacement parts for for this will be my first truck?

Thanks in advance!

I know the Savage is a fan favorite but I just want to know some opinions B4 i spend the big bucks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the SavageX have a 4.2? Sounds like a winner to me!

This can only be answered by your local hobby shop - stop by there and see what they carry, be it either more HPI or Traxxas. If you don't have a LHS then places like RushRC and RCMart both carry a decent selection for either.

The size of the engine doesn't really matter because the savage is much heavier then the revo. So you still get the same ratio between the two. I'd have to say revo just because if you ever want to try out racing you will have much better luck with the revo.

It all depends on what you want to do with it. Both trucks have a good amount of power. If you plan on racing go for the Revo, if you plan to bash mostly go for the savage.
