I'm thinking of putting a differrent engine on my Revo. The main reason is because with the stock setup, I can't keep an air filter tube in one piece. New era has a mount for big blocks that raises the engine and gets the carb out of harms way:D So my question is, "What motor so I get?":\ I looked at the pico 26 max but it mounts to the stock mount. So maybe an OS 21 vg? Does anyone have experience with this?
"

the picco .26 needs its own mount from OFNA that you have to buy serperatly. the only drop in motors are the OS .18/.21TM I'm pretty sure.

i solved my Motor Saver air filter tube by popping the filter off the stock neck. and CA gluing the motor saver air filter element onto it. it doesn't even come close to the spur and I'm using a 40T

or you can lightly heat up the stock air filter neck with a heat gun and it will slowly bend upwords as it gets hot. give that a try but your stock air filter neck should not give you a problem with spur clearance. you might have your motor mount out of alignment. check the motor mount of first than if not try the heat method.

both of the motors are good
but if you don't want the motor mount to the stock mount
yea go for the os

I've come to the conclusion that I must have bent my chasis. I think I'm going to make a project out of this.

Hey Charlie I have an OS .18 that I am going to be selling...it has had less than a gallon through it and has great compression. I also have an extra piston/sleeve for it. So it could be good to go for years from now. If you are interested shoot me a PM.

The OS 21 TM carb sits higher than the 3.3 engine. I used the motor saver filter for the Revo on my 21 tm with no issues.

Scrogg, thats exactly the motor I want to put in. I've got a 18crvx in my MT2 and I love it. I havent had much experience with different mills but OS has really impressed me. I'm going to be putting an extended chasis under the Revo after I get all the parts I want. I think a bent chasis is 90% of my headaches with it.
