My Axis Buggy came with 19mm hexes yet all the cool wheels out there come in 17mm hexes. Is there anyway to change my buggy to 17mm? If so please explain, remeber i am new and still pretty ignorant to most of this stuff although i did suprise myself and took my whole buggy apart and got it back together and running which taught me alot about how they work.

Also, if anyone knows a good place to buy parts i need the bulkhead for my front differential when i smacked into a curb it cracked it pretty good and won't last long. Thanks guys you have been a really big help so far.

You might look into buying some 17mm hexes from another manufacturer. It could be a direct fit...

As for finding parts, have you tried your LHS? You might also contact the buggy manufacturer and see about finding online places that support your r/c.

You can absolutely change run those cool 17mm wheels that you want. Simply go get 17mm wheel hubs and wheel nuts and your ready to go. There is one other way, though I do not really recomend it. Use a drill press to make the hole bigger in those 17mm rims to fit your 19mm hub.

By the way, there are no dumb questions here, your only dumb for not asking if you are not sure! So feel free to ask away! It is the least expensive way to learn something.:whack:

I'm guessing a LHS will be able to order you some. Theyre are 2 colors...bright yellow and black. check my gallery to see a pic of my dads xtm wheels. If ur LHS can't get them, and you cand find any online, ill seel you some brand new ones.

Not to interject with an unrelated post, but.. I will anyways =)

I've only been able to locate one LHS in my area, they have two locations. I've found their prices to be pretty high compared to what's to be found online - They sell the Storm RTR for $599 and it's easily found online for under $400. The parts seem equally marked up.

Is this something that's fairly common with the local hobby shops? I see a lot of posts on these forums that highly encourage visiting your LHS.

Anyone living in the Rhode Island/Southern Mass area that knows of some places?

Most LHS arent that high. My GS Storm RTR was 460 bucks after tax, fuel, glowpluggs, and fuel bottle. You should slap the poop out of your LHS:whack:
