Just broke one of the teeth off of my front bp diff bevel gear (9t). I'll probably check if my lhs has it tomorrow but I doubt it. They don't have too many XL parts. Where would be a good place to order from? Oh yeah, the 4 screws on the diff weren't even tight. All 4 were noticeably loose by just looking at them.

So I ordered the diff bevel gears 29t/9t from my LHS and it was supposed to come in today. Now I find out its back ordered till late march. I looked online and it's back ordered everywhere. WHY??!! I want to run my truck but I have to wait till the end of this month now. This blows!!!

Yes. Only in UK and they are over-priced. Anyone ever try driving it with only rwd? Maybe I'll try that until I get the parts for the front diff.

Running 2 wheel drive will put an excess strain on the other one.
When you order, get an extra one for back up.
Put a thread in the 'Want to Buy' forum. Maybe someone here can hook you up.

It may be a stupid question but did you take the rear apart yet to ensure those screws arent loose as well?;)

I checked the rear diff and it was perfect. Didn't even need to add extra shims. Weird, how the front was so messed up and the rears were so good.

I took out the front driveshaft and the two front dogbones going to the wheels from the front diff. Still thinking about if I should run it or not like that. Don't really wanna mess up the rear diff too, but waiting a month for parts sucks! I've been taking it apart and putting it back together for a few days, my wife says I'm retarded cause I'm not getting anywhere with it. Lol.

My rear diff just filed the internal gears. When I pulled it out the 4 screws "holding" it together were partially backed out.

Try ebay I found some in there. Buy it now about $11 for just the gears and $15 for the case and gears. Search HPI savage xl diff. Hope you find them soon.
