Anyone have one they are looking to offload cheap? Track wants $20 to rent em for a day....and I'm not even sure I'll stick with the racing thing....
 
$20 per day!?!?

Is that on top of the standard per class entry fees? If so that's B/S! I've NEVER had to pay extra to use track transponders. I've never even heard of anybody charging extra for "rental". Screw that!
 
It's a new track in the area...and since I have never raced before....I don't know WTF I'm doing ;-) Their site said $20 per day rental fee though. I thought that was a bit high myself....
 
Those rental transponders cost 200+ a piece! We were going to replace 10 of ours until AMB quoted us a price. AMB has a huge monopoly on their hands. Your best bet is to buy a personal transponder. They hold their value. I paid 90 bucks for mine new and I could sell it easily for 75!
