Hey all again,
When reading online on hpiracing.com theywere saying that like every 25 tuns you gotta take the truck apart and change the diffs, and always be messing around and changing o-ring blah blah blah

Is this always. I'm thinking i just wanna buy it and break it in and run it and thats it. Do i always have to be doing that stuff other than lubing and after run oil tho...

Other than the afterrun procedures, you shouldn't have to do alot except for cleaning and checking screws. It's beyond me why they said you should take the diffs out every 25 runs.

Probably because many love to drop in large motors and wheelie, it can be very hard on your diffs. Unless you have some aluminu diff cases, I would check them. Also as time goes your lube be it Silicone or Diff grease whatever your preference can thin out and need to be replaced.Servicing the diffs is prett important.

If you wanted to just run an RC car, I would suggest a store brand. These little machines are like our 1:1 cars. Maintain the car if you want to retain the life of it as much as possible.

my trucks 2 years old and i have never taken anything apart on it other than the motor and suspension and i havent head any problems till the last month. now my servos are gone my clutch is gone and it seemes that everything is falling apart at the same time. but then again its a t-maxx

In all honesty, I would expect it from any ride if I never did any maintenance on it. I did that on ONE ride and it haunts me till now. Its not even mine any longer but the guilt of finding out AFTER its gone made me change how I look at maintenance.

Its crucial to maintain the RC. Drivetrain suspension, clutch and slipper etc.. They are all due for wear and slop.

Being a Maxx doesn't justify the failures. Lack of checking is the problem. I had a Maxx as my first MT. I babied that thing all the time. I bought parts to upgrade. When things failed it was because of error by me. LOL . Jumped wrong ( landed badly ), Arm snapped due to hitting a tree.

Long story short, maintain your RC as you have enough to deal with when you break things on them.

I'm not saying I don't maintain my RC's but it just seemed like every 25 runs is a bit excessive. Hardened steel should last longer than that lol. If it were more like every 100 runs then it would sound more reasonable to me. But then, I've never owned a Savage :D

I baby my RC's too but that's because I have no money to replace stuff if it goes bad lol

25 runs not 25 tanks. i can kill a gallon of fuel in a weekend with my savage and not think much of it. that being said if i could get 12.5 gallons out of a diff, shoooot you wouldnt hear me complain. totally agree with jon, if you want it to last you gotta maintain it? dont be affraid to get your hands dirty, its not as hard as you imagine it to be, and you found the best guys in the world for rc help right here.
