Aluminum traxxas pushrod

whats the benefit of an aluminum traxxass push rod? besides the color(red) is it lighter that the stock?

If I'm not mistaken, and they'll tell me if I am, the aluminium push rods are hollow. And being aluminium instead of steel, they by nature are lighter
