Hey guys, i got a crack on my tank, so i glued it up with some superglue, but i want to completely solve this problem. If i get a gpm tank guard, do you think this will help it from slamming into the chassis??

X-Cellerator
Savage 25

I say gpm tank guard cuz thats all my store carries

tank guards work real well i used to break tanks all the time ,not broke 1 since i got a gpm tank guard, there are outher companys which make them integy,3racing,etc they all do the same job but just look different some have holes or slots etc

Here is what I did to solve your scenario.

Part 1:
---Take the tank off.
---Cut a 2 small pieces of fuel tubing about 1/8 inch long each.
---Take those o-rings off of the 2 tank posts holders
---Now place the fuel tubing on there instead
---This will act as a cushion for the tank and take out some of its wobbling play.

Part 2:
---Take your tank and look on the back (the flat area which hit against the chassis)
---Go and buy some felt padding or thin sponge or neoprene
---Cut a small section of padding and glue it to the back of the tank on the part that hits against the chassis.
---This will prevent it from banging and give it a cushion.

I can put some pics up if needed.

Later...

Thanx a lot guys, for now i am going to try the method with neoprene being glued on. But when i get a chance i will get a guard.

DL can you post some pics of your idea? Very interested in this! Thanks

Jon
