i'm looking for alumnium receiver tray for my savage i have found everything else alu but not the tray is there a reson for this?will there be somekind of interfernce with radio .or what

Hmm don’t think it would make interference the receiver tray is nearly surrounded by Alu TVP already. But I don’t know anything about that.
But if you try look at the shape of the tray it’s rather complex. Its relative easy to make a mould that can be used to make the thing in plastic cause plastic is perfect to injection moulding.
Then make that thing in alu… auuh it almost impossible to CNC machine it, and to cast the thing by making a mould and then fill it with heated alu, is not a easy or cheap process.

At last why do you want it in alu the tray is well protected where it is?

i'm trying to build a 100% alumnium savage i'm about 85% their now

Having an aluminum receiver tray is just so much extra useless weight. I have not found a manufacturer yet who has made one, and the reason might be what Skela mentioned or it might be the fact that an aluminum one is kind of overkill.

To answer the interference questions...no, you shouldn't get any unreasonable interference from a metal servo/receiver tray. The only time that would be a concern, would be if you have bare wires or some kind of metal to metal contact.

But, to satisfy your need for an all aluminum Savage....if I come across one, I'll post the link.

ok can someone build me one tell me were to get one built i'm buying!!!!
