Alternative to Ofna Cross Pins

Question, will this work as an alternative to Ofna cross pins for spider mod, to be used with HPI bevel gears?

I used the Kyosho pins in my spider mod and they worked fine. Someone over at Savage-Central suggested them over the Ofna's because the Ofna pins are made from a softer metal.

I also used the Kyosho shafts.

I used the kyosho shafts. Seems like you honestly get more for your money that way though. IMHO it comes with extras.
