Well, i realized that when i recently crashed my t-maxx, i didnt just kill one of my shocks, i also broke my right upper A-Arm. I figure that i might as well go for alluminum replacements so it wont happen again. I'm only going for the front (both upper and lower) for now. I was just wondering if anyone has these, and if they are good price/ quality. Thanks for your help!

If you want the best hopup go with RPM A-Arms. The general rule with anything aluminum is that once it is bent you will never get it straight again. From what I have heard RPM has a lifetime warranty. You can't beat that. I have RPM arms on my maxx and I am very happy with em. Just something to consider.

yeah, if u are just a basher i would go for the rpm a-arms. aluminum is good for racing because u arent doing as much high speed gigantic jump things but when u are just out screwing around on big @$$ jumps u will have a great chance of bending them. i have the UE supermaxx widetrack suspension, that i got for racing next season. so far they are great. but recently my truck took a nasty crash to the front right and bent my upper a-arm. it isnt too bad so i can stilll use it but it will be needing replacement.
the bottom line is that if u really want a good set of a-arms for bashing and stuff go with the RPM. they are the best plasitic a-arms out there.
but then again if u got the money then i guess it wouldnt matter if u went alumiunum. just dont go too hard on ur truck.

I would say stay away from the aluminum arms. When you do bend one, and you will, you will never get it right again. They add weight to the truck as well. I use the RPM arms on my trucks and love them, never had a problem with one. And yes as Mcvickj mentioned they carry a lifetime free replacement warranty, if you ever break one just return it to RPM and they will replace it free of charge. Not to mention they are significantly cheaper than aluminum.

RPM and Proline are the very best. I use both and have yet to break one......not yet.
You may want to go ahead and replace the shock towers while you are at it. Both of the mentioned manufactures make them and they are made from a higher quality nylon that has a little less flex than the stock setup. Just a thought, not required.

I have been running the stock A-Arms for 2 seaons now. I even went as far as buying a replacement set off of fleabay just in case. So far no breakage. If your going to go with all that metal on your truck you better make sure you have a kickin engine, otherwise your going to be disappointed in the speed of the truck. I run my truck fairly hard probably not as hard as alot of the bashers out there but if you really don't whack your truck into something on an angle where its going to shear off the a-arm I would think your Bulkheads will trash first. Once I break an A-arm I will definitely go with the RPM stuff. You can even get them white and Dye them any funky color you want.

Wow, thanks for the info. I guess ill stay away from the alluminum A-arms. I do like to bash on my maxx, so i dont want to take the risk of bending alluminum. I also didnt realize how much cheaper the RPM arms are. Anyone reccommend a site to get them off? Thanks a lot for your help!!!

I got a complete set of arms for my truck new in the package off ebay for $20. Normally you can get them at almost any hobby shop for about $8-$10 bucks a pair.

You may also want to replace the stock bulkheads with aluminum at some point, they will probably be the next part that will break.

sometimes if u catch them right i can get the whole set of rmp a-arms and shock towers for liek $25

Wow...all of this anti-aluminum sentiment. Just kidding. I agree with the "go RPM" crowd, but I will say this: I run aluminum upper a-arms only and plastic lowers. I have yet to damage the upper a-arms in any way. The lowers remain plastic because they are closer to the ground and are therefore more prone to impact with ground objects that might do damage to the a-arm.

From one basher to another...if you want to spend money on aluminum...do it on the bulkheads and shock towers...just my two cents, but I run aluminum and titanium in ket locations and have yet to replace any major components in since doing so.

i run the full aluminum a-arms and they work good. i am going to get the aluminum bulkheads next tho. what kind is the best?

Being that you seem to like SuperMaxx parts...I figured you would settle on a set of UE bulkheads. I personally favor Hardcore Racing products. I have their bulkheads and shocktowers and they work just great. The UE towers offer a little more tune-ability when it comes to suspension, but the Hardcore Racing towers work just fine as a replacement for the stockers.

Wow...that is not an inexpensive hop-up. IF I were into racing and was sponsored, I might go for that. BUT dropping $500+ for a bulkhead replacement set-up...not today, tomorrow or ever. This basher will stick with what he's got.

ya me too, but i mean just the fact that they have come up with something that crazy is awsome. man i got to start racing (i am going to try next season) and get sponsered by them. then i might be able to test them bad boys out!!:hehe:
