I'm wondering HOW waterproof it is or if its just water resistant.
I would love to mount a set of paddles on one and take it for a lake run.

Hex headed screws. A step in the right direction. Now, if they bundle it with a brushless setup from the get-go, it'd be a winner.

They ought to be coming out with a brushless because of their other brushless products. I saw a brushless Rustler running on 3s LiPo and it was incredible! It was even quicker than my Mamba-powered RC-18r!
