Ok, i am researching servos. Every one says for steering get the hitech 7955. It has 333oz of torque at 6.0 volts. It also has a speed of .18. Now airtronics has one 94780m and it has 423oz of torque!! at a speed of .15! For throtle airtronics makes 94758. It has a speed of (get this), 0.06 seconds!! Holy cow those are some impressive specs.

Now here is my question. Why all the love for hitech?? Airtronics makes very high quality radios (i have a m11 and it is bad ass). with the specs on thease servos, you would think everyone would have one. Do they break?? So they have a poopy waranty??

What gives?

hitecs with the titanium gears are the strongest most durable servos on the market. They are affordable as well. nothing wrong with the airtronics servos. They make quality products. BTW the Hitec with 333 oz. of torque has a transit of .15 @ 6 volts. It's fast enough for me. my throttle servo a 5625 is only 50 bucks, it's torque is 130 oz and a transit of .13 @ 6 volts. it's perfect for throttle duty. Hitecs are also completely waterproof, I have had one submerged completely in a puddle, it did not hurt it one bit.
It all comes down to personal preference really. As long as you are buying a reputable brand with good specs, you really can't go wrong.

Nothing wrong with Airtronics. I run Airtronics MX3 and it's fine. I also run their 94358 servo and it's great. No complaints here. Hitec also makes great servos. Their servos have great specs and are durable. I run their high speed servo in my drifter and it's fast. No complaints with them either. Like said, it's all personal preference.
