Is the airel the antenna. If it broke then you should replace it. You can buy a new wire at almost any hobby shop.

It doesn't look like it broke though.

Two options, replace the wire by resoldering a new one to the RX or Replace the RX altogether.

Did you break just the tube or both the tube and the wire? If you broke just the wire, no sweat. The tube can be replaced for less than 1.50 USD (no idea what that is in GBP, sorry).

However, if you snapped both the tube and the wire; you have two options. One is to patch the wire back together. The other is to replace the wire altogether.

yes i snapped both :(

the funny thing was i done it then driving around the car park and fuel run out went over to it and it had snapped and i was driving it like that for ages

I am still unclear what an airel is. An Antenna?

I have heard of an antenna being called an "Airel" in the past. I never understood the word and it doesn’t exist in the dictionary. I think it may be some sort of a slang word derived from another language other then English.

Replace the wire unless you can run 40+ miles per hour to catch it when it runs away.

In the USA, we call it an antenna.
You guys call it an aerial.

ok

I've heard of soldering it would you reckomend doing it ?

I've still got the antenna in my rucksack ill use that will it be ok

Not sure what a rucksack is, but I wouldn't recommend soldering it unless your skilled with a soldering iron.
Take it to your local hobby shop to have it done. They shouldn't charge you more than a few bucks to fix it.
