Which one is better HPI high performance air filters, or MotorSaver's Air filters?? Which one will give me more power, or are they about the same?? Thanks, Al :boxing:

If it is the regular Motorsaver filter, watch the end that the foam goes into, as I have lost the foam due to the fact the end cap fell out. If possible go with the HD motorsaver filter and put a piece of old nilon over the end. I have the HPI HD air filter for a Savage.

Power wise I couldn't tell the difference between stock and my motorsaver, which I will also assume for the HPI since they have a virtually identical design. They are too many variables in my area lately like temperature which has made my tuning of the engine more important than what filter to run. But in terms of protection from dirt and dust getting into the engine I say they are both a tie, both are better than stock. Also, you will have to clean them less frequently than the stock filter.

Ok, I think I'm gonna get the HPI one then, to save on some money. Thanks for your input!! Al

The new ofna one is what i bought. It is cheaper than both and i like it better. Go to gnt, scroll down and there is a thread on it.

I've always used motorsavers before, bu now I've heards of the end caps poping off, and due to the desighn really the only part of the filter that air goes thru is the end, as the rest of it is prefilterd. you will notice every time you clean a motor saver the end cap/foam is very dirty compared to the rest of the filter, making it the main part of your filter. a dual stage 1/8 scale buggy type filter would be best.
