When you wash the air filter, (with gaz..) do you really need to apply air filter oil or you can put something else (or nothing?) on it?

But with wich oil do I need to wash it? With a specialized oil or..?

i use the traxxas air filter oil

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Traxxas-Air-Filt...Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35abec7765

but any oil will work ..just not as good as the oil made for that ( its thicker and stickier )

but you need some sort of oil on it

( you wash your filter ...let it dry ...then put oil on it ...i use a ziplock bag ...i put the filter in and a few drops of oil ...and work the oil in the filter )

Do you have one filter element or two...??

I wash mine with WD-40 first..Then soapy warm water... dry with papertowel... and i only oil the bottom element... I've heard from ppl here that its ok to do... But not sayin for you to do it but its just what i do now... seems to let a little bit more air through..

But if you only use one element then DEFINATLY use oil..
Macguyver gave you a great link.. its pretty cheap off eBey :)

See what i mean with two filters :)

Oil the filter. Air filter oil is cheap and it lasts quite a while. No reason not to use the right stuff in this circumstance. Sometimes you can get by with using alternative methods to some things but air filter oil is simply the most trusted and economical route for your foam filter.
