Hey I am going to dump some of my stock stuff for some aftermarket I will be getting a rx pack soon and afew other things but I am in need of a good air filter one that will give me good flow and keep out the dirt I will be running in the mountains of montana and on dirt BMX tracks so I need one that wont fail I was looking at one from motersavers is it ok or is their a better one for around the same price.no more than $30 it is for a 2.5 TRX

The motorsaver one is the best. Get the one for the T-maxx then get the outer foam seperate.

cool I will defenetly get one but why would I get an outer foam seperate and which is a good outerfoam to get

The outer sleeve is dry foam rubber. The inner filter is oiled. At the end of a dusty day you can clean the outer filter, and still have an oiled filter that is not stuck solid with oily dust.

Truth is in dusty conditions the Pre Foal filter is needed as finite particles can still pass through the filter screen and to your inner foam. The outer Pre foam filter can be used with or without being oiled. I suggest not unless it is supper super dusty.

Is there a significant performance difference when upgrading to the motor saver? Is the stock filter fine for just bashing?

I like the stock one it works great for bashing just remember to oil it after every hour with good airfilter oil I am getting a new one cause I crushed my stock one so I thought why not.

ok guys i got one for the TRX 2.5 do u guys have any sugg. or tips besides an outer foam and how often do I clean it

The truth is that the outer one can be slipped off during a day of bashing, and be replaced by a spare, of just snapped clean of excess dust. The inside oiled filter will hardly show any dust whatsoever. If you don't use the dry sleeve in dusty conditions, there is so much dust stuck to the oiled filter that you starve the engine for air.
I would never run without the outer dry sleeve.

The truth is you need the outer sleeve, not oiled.

where do i get the outer sleeve? i have a motersaver for the t-maxx.

my LHS doesn't carry it.
