Is the stock air filter good enough or should it be changed to better air filter? I'm debating whether to get a new filter or just stay with the stock one?

With regular cleaning and proper lubrication, the stock air filter is just fine (my opinion), Be sure to use a zip tie at the base.

it works...but a motorsaver definitely increases performance...and makes tuning easier...and setting the idle easier

Honestly I don't think that a filter will hinder or help tuning. As long as you keep your filter well oiled and clean you won't have any problems with the stock filter. I don't think that $20 is worth it, thats just my opinion, I'm sure others will think differently. I had a motosaver on my rc10gt and it died after a gallon and a half. Since then I've had 3 .21's and have 4 gallons in one, 3 gallons in another and 1 gallon in another, they all have great compression and haven't had a problem with regular filters.

If you have the stock 2.5 engine stick w/ the stock air filter....otherwise your needle settings will always be in the rich range limiting your ability to tune w/ the weather to some degree.....when you get a modified engine get an upgraded air filter...
