i would say just get a motor saver. i have ran these on everything i have owned RC wise. you can't beat them. they have the best filtration and great air flow. just dont expect a huge power gain by any filter. but i did notice a little from one on my savage

i havent used the HPI one but the only thing different i can see is the color of the foam, and the inner filter is one piece where as the motor saver is 2. and the price.

Actually the motorsaver is only one piece foam on the inside as well.

This is the one I use for my Savage.

This is the offroad Motor Saver air filter. I am using it with my Hyper 8 port.

The 2 stage foam filters are the very best for obvious reasons. The cold air intake is one of the better ideas. Anything that moves the intake away from the heat of the engine. On my list of to do's.

mine is two pieces. maybe its an old style or something.
