Well, I thought I found the problem with my first T Maxx that I bought. I posted some time ago that it kept running away from me. Well I changed everything like reciever, batteries, crystals, then I decided to change the battery box. It looked kind of krusty so I put a new one in, started it up and for the first ten minutes or so it ran good. Then all of a sudden, see ya, it was gone. It beelined right across the street right into the neighbors door. I went to get it and saw a big ass dent in the door, OPPS. Luckily no one was home, but like the nice guy I am I told them and they was cool about it and told me not to worry. I would be pissed if it was my door. Anyway I am done with that T Maxx, parts truck it is.

A run away nitro RC is a dangerous thing. You should really invest in a TRS and a failsafe.

I agree, you should install a failsafe. Mine ran away once and that was enough. Batts were brand new so I didn't know what was up. I installed a failsafe and also went with a 2100mah NiMH receiver battery kit. It has never run away since. Of course the failsafe has yet to kick in while running so my guess is the original problem was with the batts.

Here is the battery pack I installed.

Thanks for your info, maybe I will try that because the motor really runs good and i dont want to just use it as a parts truck. Anyway thanks again guys.
